EkiBeki is a hybrid social enterprise that works to preserve the rich craft heritage of India and promote traditional arts and crafts in contemporary forms. Our products are hand crafted by the talented artisans living in small remote villages of India and are made from eco-friendly materials, perfect for helping create a sustainable future. In Marathi, ‘Eki’ stands for odd, unique, or unity and, ‘Beki’ means even, common, or diversity. True to our name, we achieve balance by bringing together things that have traditionally been perceived to be at odds with each other. Ekibeki refers to oneness of interests, sentiments, and pursuits among different groups or entities. Our aim is to revive the folk arts and crafts of India, help generate sustainable livelihoods for artisans, and help the artisans grow the community craft clusters in their natural habitat.
